Unity in Diversity

The First Baron Tweedsmuir, John Buchan was a well-favored Governor General of Canada reigning between 1935 and 1940. According to him, immigrant groups must be allowed to retain their uniqueness and each of them should contribute to building the inherent character of the nation. Each can learn and imbibe various elements from one another while holding up special traditions and loyalties. But they will also be encouraged to cherish the individuality and specialties that arise from the collective awareness and union.
